Fraser Avenue, Inverkeithing
The regeneration of Fraser Avenue in Inverkeithing on behalf of Kingdom Housing Association has transformed this once run down area and has won numerous awards. Phase 1 & 2 are complete, with phase 3 beginning imminently.
This high profile redevelopment created homes of high quality, distinctiveness and local identity, which are sustainable, meets housing needs, delivers quality and recognises aspirations, affordability and value for money.
Existing properties were demolished and the first phase of the development provided 53nr brand new, energy efficient homes comprising General Needs and Amenity units in two & three storey houses and cottage flats together with bungalow wheelchair standard units.
Phase 2 provided 61 new homes for social rent.
Driven by a vision of what a reimagined Fraser Avenue might be and inspired by the Rosyth Garden Village the finalised design creates a safe and enjoyable space to live with low density homes with active frontages, private front/back doors, secure private gardens, clearly defined open amenity space and play facilities whilst linking with the surrounding context.
A mix of house types have been provided to meet a range of housing needs for the existing and new tenants returning to live in the estate.
